Macayo’s is cooking up a 125-foot burrito for Cinco de Mayo

Yes, a 125-foot burrito will be made on-site during the Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival.

Sunday, May 6 from noon until 10 p.m., at 200 W. Washington St. in downtown Phoenix, many people will gather in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

This year, Macayo’s Mexican Restaurants will build a 125-foot burrito. Not just any burrito, but their well-known Pollo Blanco Burrito.

Just imagine the amount of shredded chicken, Mexican rice, black beans and baja sauce that will be needed to make the burrito.

Hint: It’s a lot!

At 3 p.m., people attending the festival can see the burrito being made during the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Phoenix.

The burritos will be available at all Macayo’s locations beginning May 1-5, 2018. $1 from each burrito sold will be donated to the Arvizu Scholarships program, which benefits Grand Canyon University.
