She is the former food director at Health magazine and the author of two cookbooks, Peaches (a Short Stacks book) and You Made That Dessert? Beth is the resident chef at Middleberg Nutrition where she teaches one-on-one and group cooking classes. She is a graduate of the chef training program at Natural Gourmet Institute and the pastry arts program at Walnut Hill College, and she has a BA in journalism from the University of Southern California.

She has trained extensively in body-mind modalities, meditation practices and embodiment therapies; is certified in Sivananda Yoga, Shiatsu, Reiki and other energy systems; and is currently pursuing her third-degree black belt in Ninjutsu martial arts.
